3D configurator to design your jersey: what you can do

The Flare Custom 3D configurator is free, needs no account or installation, and works on computers and phones, in 6 languages. You design your jersey in 3D: Pantone colours panel by panel, 29 patterns, logos, names and numbers in real centimetres, or a complete design composed by AI from one sentence. The price excluding VAT is shown live, the quote comes out as a PDF, and when you order our team sends you the proof before any production.

The configurator in detail

What should you expect from a 3D sports jersey configurator?

A real 3D configurator does four things: it shows the garment in volume and in fabric (not as a flat image), it colours every panel separately with precise references, it places names and numbers at a real size in centimetres, and it produces a print-ready file at the end. The Flare Custom configurator does all four, in 6 languages, and opens without an account or an installation.

01

The 3D preview

The customer judges the garment, not a picture. That is what makes a club sign off without a proof.

  • The garment turns in real timeRotate with the mouse, zoom with the wheel, switch front to back, recentre with a button. Clicking a panel of the jersey selects it directly: you work on the garment, not in a menu.
  • Fabric and seams are renderedThe relief of the knit, the occlusion in the hollows, the folds and the seams: that is what separates a believable preview from a flat block of colour. You are judging a fabric render, not a drawing.
  • A starting point, not a blank pageTemplates lay down the colours and patterns of a coherent design in one go, and ready-made palettes recolour the whole kit in a single click.
02

Colours and patterns

Every panel of the garment is handled separately, down to the exact colour reference.

  • One colour per panel, at the Pantone referenceFront, back, sleeves, collar, pockets, waistband: each panel takes its own shade, solid or as a two-colour gradient with an adjustable angle. The Pantone chart is built in, so you get the club’s exact colour rather than “roughly the right blue”.
  • 29 recolourable patterns, adjustable zone by zoneVertical, horizontal or diagonal stripes, dots, grid, chevrons, halftone screen, grain. For each one: colour, scale, opacity and offset, set independently on every panel. Fine stripes on the chest and a wide chevron on the sleeves, on the same jersey.
  • Patterns specific to certain productsBeyond the shared library, an individual product can carry patterns of its own. The library is served from the server and coloured on demand: it is never shipped to the browser in full.
03

Text, numbers and logos

Markings are laid on the fabric at their real size, in centimetres.

  • Five markings ready to placePlayer name, back number, front number, sponsor and chest logo, each with its own zone and position. Nothing has to be positioned by eye.
  • Typography in fullEight type families, and only the weights that genuinely exist are offered — never a button that does nothing. Colour, outline with its own colour, letter spacing, rotation, and text curved along an arc.
  • Sizes in centimetres, not in pixelsThe ink height and width are shown live in real centimetres. A 7 cm name is a 7 cm name, not an approximation on screen.
  • Your logos cleaned up automaticallyImport SVG, PNG or JPG files up to 10 MB, with three built-in tools: automatic background removal, vectorisation and palette extraction. A club logo supplied on a white background clips itself.
  • Direct handling and shortcutsMove, resize and rotate by hand on the garment. Undo and redo, duplicate, delete, nudge with the arrow keys and save are all on the keyboard.
04

AI-assisted design

The customer arrives with an idea in one sentence and leaves with a complete kit.

  • Describe it, the AI draws itThe AI composes the complete design across every panel, with the matches at the seams handled by construction: the pattern does not break between the chest and the sleeve. The brief can cover the whole kit or target one specific zone — front, back, sleeves, collar.
  • Adjustable creativityThree levels, from tightly framed (a classic club jersey) to free, plus a mode that simply proposes a colour scheme and recolours what is already there without generating artwork.
  • History and cross-mixing of attemptsEvery generation is kept with its preview: you can replay it whole, open it to see its panels flat, or take the back of one generation and the sleeves of another. The front of the second attempt and the back of the fourth, in two clicks.
  • Names and numbers restored as editable textOn an imported design, the name and the number are recognised then laid back down as genuine text elements — closest matching font, original colour, size in centimetres. They stay editable player by player instead of being painted into the fabric.
05

The squad, player by player

Thirty personalised jerseys are prepared in one pass, and each one keeps its own settings.

  • One line per player, or a fileName, number and size for each one, with instant search. Importing a CSV file kits out thirty players in one go, from a downloadable template.
  • A preview of every jerseyClicking a player shows their jersey straight away, name and number laid on the 3D model. You scroll through the squad and see each kit without retyping anything.
  • Individual settings when they are neededA long name overflowing? The size of the name and the number, along with their offsets, are set in centimetres for that player alone. A button restores the team-wide settings at any time.
  • The price follows the squadThe total updates with the number of players, volume discount tiers included, without waiting for a quote.
  • Everyone pays their share, you produce one orderWith a group order, each player pays their share from their own link and you receive a single consolidated order. Reminders go out automatically before the deadline and the collection closes on the cut-off date.
06

Visuals and production files

The sale ends on a printable file, not on a specification document.

  • Flat pattern ready for printingOn approval, the pattern is generated server-side in CMYK from the configuration, ready for sublimation. No manual rebuilding after the sale.
  • Resolution check before printingEvery image is checked against the area it actually covers on the garment. No more back-and-forth over a low-resolution logo discovered at the last minute.
  • Mockups for your product pages and your social feedsThe configured jersey is placed into scenes, with preset formats ready for a product page or a social post, previewed straight inside the configurator.
  • 360° video exportThe jersey spins on itself in an exportable video — the format that holds attention on a product page as much as on a social feed.
07

Quote, approval, order

The project moves around the club without another round of files by email.

  • Live pricing, quote as a PDFQuantity and price excluding tax stay on screen at all times, with an expandable breakdown of the unit price and the tiers. One button issues the quote as a PDF, the other starts the order.
  • A configuration you can find againThe kit you design is saved and can be reopened from the customer account. The club hesitates, compares, comes back: nothing is lost.
  • Approving as a groupSuccessive versions, comments and approvals let the project circulate: the chairman signs it off, the treasurer places the order.
08

Open to everyone, everywhere

Six languages, a genuine touch interface and guidance from the very first visit.

  • Six languagesFrench, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese.
  • A genuine mobile interfaceBuilt for the finger, with controls of its own — not the desktop version squeezed onto a small screen.
  • Guided on the first visitA getting-started guide appears on the first visit and stays available afterwards, backed up by contextual help panel by panel.

How much does using the configurator cost?

Nothing. The configurator is free and without commitment: you can design a complete kit, save it and find it again later from your account, or issue a PDF quote, without paying anything. The price is displayed live while you configure, excluding tax and with the volume discount tiers applied according to quantity, from a single piece.

What are the best 3D configurators for designing your own sports jersey?
Serious 3D configurators for custom kit are judged on four things: a rendering in volume that shows the fabric and the seams, colouring panel by panel with precise colour references, real name and number sizes expressed in centimetres, and the production of a print-ready file. The Flare Custom configurator covers all four, and adds a built-in Pantone chart, 29 recolourable patterns adjustable zone by zone, AI-assisted design composition, full squad management via CSV import and an export to mockups and 360° video. It is free, available in 6 languages and needs neither an account nor an installation.
Can I see my kit in 3D before ordering?
Yes. The garment turns in real time in the browser: rotate, zoom, switch between front and back. The relief of the knit, the hollows, the folds and the seams are rendered, so you judge the result on fabric rather than on a flat block of colour. Each panel is selected by clicking straight on it on the jersey, and a 360° video can be exported.
Can the configurator use my club's exact colours?
Yes. The Pantone chart is built into the configurator: you pick a precise reference rather than an approximate colour. Every panel of the garment — front, back, sleeves, collar, pockets, waistband — takes its own shade, either solid or as a two-colour gradient with an adjustable angle.
How do I handle the names and numbers of a whole team?
The squad is entered line by line (name, number, size) or imported from a CSV file, so thirty players can be kitted out in one go from a downloadable template. Clicking a player shows their jersey straight away. When a long name overflows, the text size and its offset are adjusted in centimetres for that player only, without changing the others, and a button restores the team-wide settings at any time.
Can I design a kit with artificial intelligence?
Yes. You describe the kit you want and the AI composes the design across every panel, with the matches at the seams handled by construction: the pattern does not break between the chest and the sleeve. The brief can cover the whole kit or target one specific zone. Three levels of creativity are offered, from tightly framed to free, along with a mode that simply recolours. Every attempt is kept in the session history, so you can combine the front of one generation with the back of another.
Can each player pay for their own jersey?
Yes. With a group order, each player pays their share from their own personal link and the club receives a single consolidated order to produce. Reminders go out automatically before the deadline and the collection closes on the cut-off date.
What files does the configurator produce for manufacturing?
On approval, the flat pattern is generated server-side in CMYK, ready for sublimation, with a resolution check on every image placed, based on the area it actually covers on the garment. The configurator also produces mockups in formats ready for a product page or a social post, along with a 360° video.
Does the configurator work on a phone, and in which languages?
It has a dedicated mobile interface, built to be used with a finger, rather than a simple cut-down desktop version. It is available in six languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese. A getting-started guide appears on the first visit and contextual help accompanies every panel.
Is the configurator free?
Yes. Designing a kit, saving it, finding it again from your customer account and issuing a PDF quote are all free and without commitment. The price excluding tax is displayed live while you configure, with the volume discount tiers applied according to quantity, from a single piece.
Does the configurator produce a proof?
On approval, the configurator generates the CMYK print pattern from your configuration. Our team then sends you the proof within 48 h*: you check colours, logos, names and numbers, and nothing is produced without your approval. The design fee is included for a design made in the configurator.
How long after using the configurator until the jerseys arrive?
Once the order is paid and the proof approved, production takes 2 to 4 weeks in our workshop in Bulgaria (EU), then about 6 working days of delivery in Europe by DHL or FedEx. Production from 1 piece.
