Sport in Brussels

Which sports are played in Brussels?

Brussels is a bilingual and very international city. Alongside neighbourhood clubs, it has many company, institution and school teams, often made up of players of different nationalities. Football dominates, but indoor sports and running also bring together a great many participants.

How amateur sport is organised

In Belgium, sport is a matter for the Communities: in Brussels, French-speaking clubs come under the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and Dutch-speaking clubs under the Flemish Community. Many federations therefore have a French-speaking and a Dutch-speaking wing.

Climate and fabrics

Which fabric for playing in Brussels?

Oceanic climate: frequent rain, cool winters and mild summers. To train outdoors all year round, plan long sleeves and a windproof layer; indoors, a light jersey is enough.

Your questions about Brussels

Write to us

Can we print French and Dutch text on the same jersey?

Yes. Everything is printed by sublimation: club name, motto, sponsors or wording can appear in both languages on the same piece.

Which language can we write to you in from Brussels?

By email in French, as well as in English, German, Spanish or Italian. We do not work in Dutch. Our team replies Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm (Paris time).

When should we order for the late-August restart?

Allow about 5 to 6 weeks between the quote request and delivery: for a late-August restart, start your project in early July, before the summer holidays.

Do you also deliver elsewhere in Belgium?

Yes. Shipping depends on the delivery country and the weight of the parcel, not on the city: clubs in Antwerp, Ghent, Namur or Charleroi are delivered at the same rate as Brussels.
