AI design → jersey

Flare Custom, a European brand of custom sportswear made in Bulgaria (EU), turns any design — including one generated by artificial intelligence — into real sports kit, from the very first piece. AI brings the idea to life in minutes; our studio makes it manufacturable; sublimation brings it to life on the fabric. That is the whole spirit of AI design at Flare: removing the boundary between the idea and the product. Whether you compose your jersey online or arrive with a visual imagined via Midjourney, DALL·E, ChatGPT or Stable Diffusion, you leave with a unique, durable jersey, with no minimum order. Here's how it works.

AI configurator

Two ways to create your design with AI

The Flare Custom configurator includes AI design composition. You start from a text or a mock-up; the result is a flat design, across every panel, ready for sublimation.

01

You write, the AI draws

Describe your jersey in one sentence: sport, colours, style, sponsor. The AI composes the complete design across every panel, with seam matching handled by construction. You then adjust Pantone colours, logos, names and numbers.

Text → design across every panel
02

You upload a mock-up, the AI reproduces it

A visual generated with Midjourney or DALL·E, a sketch, a photo of an old jersey or your designer's mock-up: the AI reproduces it flat on the Flare template, at the right proportions, ready for printing. You keep control of every zone.

Is your artwork printable? Check it right now

Drop your file below: the tool measures its resolution, looks at whether it really is flat artwork, and tells you in five points what works and what has to be reworked — with the matching package and its price. Nothing is sent to our servers: everything is analysed in your browser.

The golden rule: what goes to production is flat artwork

A printable file is the artwork on its own, flat, at the template’s proportions. Not the jersey shown in context. An AI almost always returns a mockup — the design already placed on a garment, with its shading, folds and background. That file cannot be reused: the pattern is distorted by the drape, cut by the seams and mixed with the shadows. Nothing is lost, though: that file serves as a REFERENCE, and our designers redraw it flat for production. That is what the Studio creation covers — the package is simply higher than for a print-ready file.

What we need
  • ✓The artwork on its own, flat, edge to edge
  • ✓Vector (SVG, AI, EPS, PDF) — ideal
  • ✓Or an image at least 2,000 px on the longest side
  • ✓Fonts converted to outlines
What we have to redraw first — Studio creation, from €95 excl. VAT
  • ↻A jersey in context (mockup, 3D render) — usable as a reference, we redraw it flat
  • ↻A screenshot of an AI generator — we rework it, resolution and details included
  • ↻An 800 px visual “enlarged” in an editor — we scale it up properly to template size
  • ↻A photo montage with a model — we extract the design and redraw it

How do you know which one you have? Look at your image

You can see a jersey in the image
A picture of the item, like a product photo — sleeves, collar, shadows. The pattern is distorted by the folds and cut by the seams: it cannot be reused as is. We redraw it — that is the Studio creation.
You only see the artwork, no jersey
Like fabric by the metre: the pattern fills the whole image, edge to edge. That is what the machine prints, before the garment is sewn.

Not sure? Take the simplest answer: we spot it when preparing your proof, we adjust the package, and you approve before anything is made. Nothing is produced or charged without your agreement.

What is AI design at Flare?

It is a way to create your kit by drawing on artificial intelligence, from concept to the piece worn. AI is a tremendous accelerator of ideas: it generates visuals, moods and patterns in record time. But an AI image is not a print-ready file: it is a source of inspiration. Flare's role is to bridge that inspiration and a manufacturable piece of kit, thanks to our studio and to sublimation. You keep the creativity, we handle the real production.

What is AI Design at Flare

Which AI tools can you use?

All of them. Image generators such as Midjourney, DALL·E or Stable Diffusion, and assistants such as ChatGPT, are all excellent starting points for imagining a jersey. Each has its strengths — photorealism, graphic styles, speed — and we know how to work from any of their output. We publish dedicated guides for getting the most out of each tool: see jersey with Midjourney, with DALL·E et with Stable Diffusion.

Why is an AI-generated visual never usable as is?

This is the essential point to understand. An image produced by an AI is not vector-based: it is made of pixels, its colours are not calibrated for textile printing, its details are often blurry or irregular, and it respects neither the seam zones nor the constraints of sublimation. Used as is, it would give a disappointing result. That is why our studio fully recreates it in vector form: a clean, sharp file, with controlled colours, designed for manufacturing. This recreation involves a graphic-design fee, the amount of which depends on the complexity of the design. It is the guarantee of a jersey worthy of your idea.

The process, step by step

It is simple and well signposted. You arrive with an idea — an AI visual, a mood, some colours. Our studio turns it into a usable vector design, faithful to your intention. You discover the result on a proof (BAT), request adjustments if needed, then approve it. Manufacturing then starts using sublimation, in Bulgaria within the European Union, and your order is shipped to you with tracking across Europe. From idea to piece: creation, adaptation by the studio, proof, sublimation, delivery.

How to properly prepare your idea or your file?

The clearer your starting point, the truer the result. Gather your colours (ideally as Pantone or CMYK references), your logo, and the visuals that inspire you. If you supply a file, note that a vector format (AI, EPS, vector PDF) is ideal, and that an AI image will serve as a basis to be rebuilt. We walk you through this on the preparing your file.

Can you sell jerseys created with AI?

Yes. AI Design is ideal ground for creators: generate collections, have our studio rebuild them, and sell them with no stock, made to order and white-label, from 1 piece. You combine the unlimited creativity of AI with real manufacturing, at no financial risk. See selling your designs.

What rights apply to an AI-generated design?

This is a point to watch. Without your knowing it, an AI image may include protected elements (logos, characters, trade marks, registered styles). You must make sure you hold the rights to whatever you have produced and sold. At the proof stage our studio flags potentially sensitive elements; and for any third-party logo or element, a declaration of responsibility is required before production. We do not turn these projects down — we put a framework around them. See logos & sponsors.

Who it's for: creators, clubs, teams, brands

AI design is for anyone who has an idea but not necessarily the tools: a creator who wants an original collection, a club looking for a bold design, an esports team that wants to make an impression, a brand that wants to prototype fast. The speed of AI, the rigour of the studio and the flexibility of from-a-single-piece serve all these profiles.

How much does an AI design jersey cost?

The jersey itself follows our usual tiered pricing by quantity, from 1 piece. On top of that comes the design work involved in rebuilding your AI visual as vector artwork, priced according to the complexity of the design. Sublimation customisation (unlimited colours) is included. See tarifs et request a quote.

What are the lead times for an AI design jersey?

After proof approval, allow 2 to 4 weeks for production, or 72 hours to 2 weeks on express depending on the product and the workshop's workload. The studio rebuild and proof approval stage comes before that; the clearer your brief, the faster it goes. See lead times.

Why create your jersey with Flare and AI?

Because Flare brings together what no one combines so simply: the inspiration of AI, a studio that makes your ideas manufacturable, sublimation for a limitless finish, all from a single piece and made in Bulgaria within the European Union. You don't have to be a graphic designer, order in bulk, or compromise on quality. Your idea — even born from an AI — becomes a real jersey.
