Flare Custom vs Spized, Owayo, NOLT, Decathlon Pro and Erima: the honest comparison

We are judge and party, so let’s say it straight away. This comparison therefore sticks to public facts, collected on 18 October 2026 from each brand’s website, with a link to the source. Where a competitor is better, we say so. Where a piece of information is not published, we say that too: we do not guess it.

The table

The table at a glance

The product compared is the short-sleeve football jersey, in each brand’s entry-level model when there are several. Our prices are excluding VAT; for each competitor, the VAT basis is the one stated on its own page. Prices are per identical design, delivery extra everywhere.

How to read it. Our prices exclude VAT. Spized’s include VAT (“Prix TTC, frais de livraison en sus” on the product page). Owayo’s include VAT for a consumer in the EU or Switzerland (T&Cs, art. 3.1); for a business, VAT is added (art. 3.4); the F3 Basic prices are current prices shown next to struck-through prices. NOLT’s, when given, include VAT (T&Cs, art. 4). The Decathlon Pro product page states neither. The Viralto jerseys belong to Decathlon’s Kipsta range.

Prices

Who is cheapest? It depends on the quantity

To compare fairly, we add 20% VAT to our prices excluding VAT, the rate we charge a club in the European Union without an intra-EU VAT number, and set them against the VAT-inclusive prices shown by Spized (Rio, entry level) and Owayo (F3 Basic).

  • From 1 to 9 pieces, Spized and Owayo are cheaper than us. A single piece: €57.90 incl. VAT at Spized, €60 at Owayo, against €68.85 excl. VAT at ours, i.e. €82.62 with VAT. At 5 pieces: €50.90 and €53, against €48.28 excl. VAT, i.e. €57.94.
  • From 10 pieces, our price drops below theirs, VAT included. At 10 pieces: €38.86 at ours (€32.38 excl. VAT), €41.90 at Spized, €44 at Owayo. At 20 pieces: €31.08, against €39.90 and €42. At 100 pieces: €26.42, against €33.90 and €35.
  • Decathlon Pro shows the lowest price: €24.99 per piece for the Essentiel jersey, with no volume pricing, from 5 items. Its product page does not say whether this price includes VAT: up to 49 pieces it is below our price excluding VAT; above that, everything depends on that missing detail. On the other hand, shipping is announced within 8 to 10 weeks.
  • NOLT and Erima show no jersey price on the pages consulted: compare them on a quote, for the same quantity and customisation.
Our strengths

What sets us apart, and can be checked

A 3D configurator boosted by AI

Send a photo: the AI reproduces your design. Or write your instructions: it creates the design. Then team mode shows each player’s name and number, you move the placements, and a built-in editing tool retouches your visuals, photos and logos, without leaving the configurator.

A public price grid up to 500 pieces

Eight tiers from 1 to 500 pieces, shown without a quote: €16.84 excl. VAT per jersey from 500. The public grids of Spized and Owayo stop at the 100-piece tier; Decathlon Pro shows a single price, NOLT and Erima no price at all.

No minimum

One piece is ordered like fifty, and a player’s reorder uses the same design. Decathlon Pro requires 5 items, Erima 20 pieces (or 30% more).

A clearly announced lead time, and an express option

2 to 5 weeks of production after the proof depending on the product, and an express option from 72 hours on request for urgent orders (surcharge shown on the quote). NOLT announces 4 to 6 weeks, Erima about 8 weeks and Decathlon Pro 8 to 10 weeks. Owayo announces 2 to 5 weeks including delivery: depending on the moment and the product, it can be faster.

Made in the EU, and we say where

In Bulgaria, by OLB Sports OOD. Owayo says Germany; Spized and NOLT say Europe without naming the country; Decathlon Pro and Erima do not state it on the pages consulted.

Their strengths

And where the others are better

A comparison that never proves anyone else right is not a comparison. Here are their advantages, and what we have to set against them when we have something.

  • Spized is cheaper than us from 1 to 9 pieces, offers over 700 templates in its configurator and lets you reorder a design online at any time. Our answer: from 10 pieces we are cheaper, VAT included; and instead of a library, the design starts from your idea.
  • Owayo makes its kit in Germany, is cheaper than us from 1 to 9 pieces, guarantees reorders for any quantity and announces delivery from 2 weeks. Our answer: Bulgaria is just as much the European Union (same standards, no customs duties); from 10 pieces we are cheaper; for a custom design, Owayo charges €150 incl. VAT in set-up fees, our classic package is €50 excl. VAT.
  • NOLT goes further than us on circularity: recycled polyester, textile-to-textile recyclable garments, handmade in Europe, and soon a subscription at €2 per month per player. We do not claim otherwise. Our answer: buying by the piece, no subscription, 2 to 5 weeks of production depending on the product (NOLT announces 4 to 6) and an express option from 72 hours for urgent orders. And if you ask, we also have recycled-fabric options on some products.
  • Decathlon Pro shows the lowest price in this survey and relies on a network of stores. Our answer: no minimum (against 5 items), 2 to 5 weeks of production depending on the product instead of 8 to 10 weeks before shipping, and a public grid up to 500 pieces.
  • Erima offers an express option in 3 weeks (with a limited choice of designs); ours handles emergencies from 72 hours, on request, with a surcharge shown on the quote. Our answer: no 20-piece minimum and no 30% surcharge on small runs, and public prices.

Write to us
Flare Custom or Spized: which is cheaper?
It depends on the quantity. Survey of 18/10/2026: Spized shows its Rio football jersey at €57.90 incl. VAT for one piece and €41.90 incl. VAT from 10 pieces; Flare Custom at €68.85 excl. VAT for one piece and €32.38 excl. VAT at 10 pieces, i.e. €82.62 and €38.86 with 20% VAT. Spized is therefore cheaper from 1 to 9 pieces, Flare Custom from 10 pieces. Both use sublimation with a 3D configurator, names and numbers included; Flare Custom makes its kit in Bulgaria (EU), Spized states production in Europe without naming the country.
Flare Custom or Owayo for a small run?
Owayo makes its kit in Germany, with no minimum, and announces delivery within 2 to 5 weeks. Its F3 Basic jersey is shown at €60 for one piece and €44 at 10 pieces (current prices, including VAT for an EU consumer according to its T&Cs), against €68.85 and €32.38 excl. VAT at Flare Custom (€82.62 and €38.86 with 20% VAT). Owayo is cheaper below 10 pieces, Flare Custom from 10. For a custom design, Owayo charges €150 incl. VAT in set-up fees; Flare Custom’s classic design package is €50 excl. VAT.
What is the difference between Flare Custom and NOLT?
NOLT focuses on circularity: recycled polyester, recyclable jerseys, handmade in Europe with fabrics from Italy, and a subscription announced at €2 per month per player from the 2027-2028 season. Its lead time is 4 to 6 weeks after the proof, and its jersey prices are not shown on the pages consulted. Flare Custom sells by the piece with no subscription, in full sublimation, makes its kit in Bulgaria (EU) in 2 to 5 weeks after the proof depending on the product, offers recycled-fabric options on some products on request and publishes its price grid.
Flare Custom or Decathlon Pro to kit out a club?
Decathlon Pro shows the lowest price: €24.99 per piece for a sublimated custom football jersey (Essentiel model), with no VAT basis stated on the product page, a minimum of 5 items and shipping announced within 8 to 10 weeks. Flare Custom produces from 1 piece, in 2 to 5 weeks after the proof depending on the product, with a public grid from 1 to 500 pieces (€24.61 excl. VAT at 50 pieces, €22.02 at 100). For a tight budget without urgency, Decathlon Pro is cheaper; for a single piece, a reorder or a short lead time, Flare Custom is a better fit.
Flare Custom or Erima for custom jerseys?
Erima’s custom service (SMU) requires 20 pieces per order, or 30% more below that, delivers in about 8 weeks after design approval, offers a 3-week express option with a limited choice of designs and does not publish its prices. Flare Custom has no minimum, produces in 2 to 5 weeks after the proof depending on the product and shows its prices; its express service handles emergencies from 72 hours, on request, with a surcharge shown on the quote.
